Each household member beyond 8 adds $917 to the gross limit and $459 to the net limit.
Louisiana SNAP Deductions
Louisiana applies the standard federal deductions used to calculate your net income: a standard deduction based on household size, a 20% deduction on earned income, and a deduction for excess shelter costs, uncapped for households with a member age 60 or older or with a disability. For those same households, Louisiana offers a Standard Medical Deduction of $161 for verified medical costs between $35.01 and $196 a month, or the actual amount above a $35 threshold for higher costs.
